W8 Build was founded by Jon Taylor in 1992. Jon and his team work on listed and historic buildings, high-end refurbishments, traditional construction, extensions, basements and loft conversions across London and the Home Counties. The company says Jon has worked on Windsor Castle, the Tower of London and a heritage site in Barbados.
Its projects include Grade I and Grade II listed buildings, period homes and high-specification new builds. The team includes craftsmen, joiners and engineers. Basement projects can include structural design, underpinning, waterproofing, drainage pumps and a finished interior; extensions can include planning, building control, structural work, glazing and fit-out.
Jon personally reviews enquiries. The company offers a free consultation at the property and then provides a proposal covering costs, timing and approach. It describes hands-on project management, site supervision, snagging and handover. Its basement work includes a 10-year structural warranty, and its extension service includes a 12-month aftercare guarantee.
