About The Roofing Crew
The Roofing Crew installs, repairs and maintains roofs on domestic and commercial buildings across London. Its work includes slate, tile, zinc, lead and fibreglass roofing, flat roofs, gutters, fascias, soffits, chimney stacks and roof alterations.
Derek Little started the business in 1985 as a one-man outfit in Stoke Newington and incorporated it as The Roofing Crew Ltd in 2006. He visits customers to assess the work, then provides a quote and estimated completion time. The team keeps customers informed and takes photographs during projects.
The company also provides roof surveys for people buying or selling property. Reports describe the roof’s condition and whether it may need repair or replacement; the fee depends on its height, size and complexity. The company says more than 40% of its work comes from word-of-mouth referrals.
