The Bath Business

The Bath Business resurfaces, re-enamels and restores baths and other sanitary ware. It works on cast iron, acrylic, pressed steel, and also resurfaces basins, sinks, toilets, bidets and shower trays. The company repairs chips on baths, sinks and shower trays, and repairs acrylic bath cracks where the underside is accessible.

The business is family run by a husband and wife. The owner says he has resurfaced and re-enamelled baths and sinks since 1986; his wife has worked in the office for more than ten years. The company trains its approved technicians, most of whom have more than ten years of spraying experience.

Most work is done in situ without disturbing existing decoration. The process includes cleaning, filling and smoothing damage, priming, applying the new surface and polishing it. Baths are normally ready after several hours, though new silicone may need longer to cure.

Tap restoration and re-plating are also available. A standard bath warranty lasts two years, with an option to upgrade to five years. Workshop resurfacing is available for uninstalled fixtures or custom finishes.
