Stained Glass Repair Restoration and Bespoke Windows

Jamal is a freelance stained-glass artist and maker working from a studio in Birmingham. He designs, makes, restores and conserves hand-painted stained glass for national and international clients, using traditional and contemporary methods. His work includes leaded lights, clear and coloured glass, painted panels and antique stained glass.

He has more than 25 years of arts practice and worked at John Hardman Studio, designing windows for historic buildings, modern architectural settings, companies and homes. Stained Glassic has offered custom-made hand-painted glass since 2010. Jamal also has master’s degrees in arts practice and education, and illustration and graphic design.

The restoration service covers traditional leaded glass windows, including repairs to cracked or missing glass, paint loss, bent or decayed lead and damaged joints. Restoration work is offered across most of England and Wales and some parts of Scotland; customers are asked to provide their address or postcode so coverage can be checked. Commission prices are calculated individually according to the work, size, budget and technical requirements.
