Personal Electric Technology (PET) designs bespoke solar and energy storage systems for homes and provides solar installation for businesses. The company says it chooses panel sizes to suit the available roof space and designs systems around the customer’s energy use. It was founded in 2015 after working in the lightweight electric vehicle sector.

The process includes a home survey followed by a detailed quotation. PET says it will match other quotes where possible and can discuss ways to reduce energy consumption during a site survey. Its services also include home energy consultations and community solar, where multiple households can share a single system.

PET works with solar panels, inverters, battery storage and EV chargers. Its site says installations are carried out by MCS-registered contractors, who provide a certificate for the customer’s energy provider.
