About Lead it Be
Lead It Be is a specialist leadwork contractor for domestic, commercial and heritage buildings. Its work includes lead roofing, cladding, flashings, gutters, valleys and architectural details, as well as conservation projects on listed and historically significant properties.
Founded in 2015 by twin brothers Luke and David Hoskins, the family-run company works with modern milled lead and traditional sandcast lead. It has a 2,500 sq. ft. workshop for off-site fabrication of bespoke lead components, including pipes, hoppers, rainwater goods and decorative castings.
The team uses 3D scanning and CAD modelling to record historic leadwork and reproduce lost or damaged components. It works with private clients, architects, conservation officers and main contractors. The company says its operatives are not paid on price work, allowing time and care for each project.
