Harris Calnan is a building contractor working on residential, public arts and commercial construction projects in and around London. It undertakes new builds, large-scale refurbishments, basement conversions and heritage and conservation work.
The company has traded since 1993 and says it has completed more than 500 projects as principal contractor. Its work ranges from in-house trades such as masonry, carpentry and plastering to structural work and specialist services delivered with partners and subcontractors.
Projects receive involvement from two directors through the defects period, a permanent site-based manager, fortnightly visits from a third-party health and safety adviser, and monthly programme updates and progress reports.
