Excel Energy

Excel Energy designs and delivers solar PV, battery storage and electric vehicle charging projects for businesses, landlords and public-sector organisations across the UK. Its work runs from consultation, site assessment and system design through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover. It also provides solar maintenance, monitoring, commercial LED lighting and energy-management services.

The company was established in 2022, building on the earlier electrical engineering business XL Electrical Excellence, founded in 2011. Founder and managing director Nick leads the team; the company reports more than 30 years of combined industry experience. Its projects include commercial roofs, ground-mounted arrays, solar carports and systems for farms, manufacturers and other organisations.

Excel Energy says its engineers and project managers deliver installations and a post-installation operations and maintenance package. It offers a five-year workmanship warranty and says equipment has material traceability and manufacturer warranties.
